Red Light Panel Delivery to the EU: Duties, VAT and Timing

A red light panel shipped into the EU from outside is charged import VAT at your country's rate, plus possible customs duty and a carrier fee, unless the seller prepays them (DDP). Rubrawell prepays them for every EU country, so a panel costs the same delivered price everywhere in the EU: €249, €899 or €1,390, tracked, in about 10–21 business days after 1–3 days at our partner warehouse in China.

Shipped from China with EU duties prepaid: is it safe to buy?

It can be, if the shop answers a few questions in writing before you pay: who the seller is, who handles the import, what you pay in total, how returns and warranty work, and how you can pay. "Duties prepaid" on its own says nothing about the seller or the product. These are Rubrawell's answers.

What if a carrier asks you to pay duties or VAT?

Don't pay. For EU deliveries, import VAT and duties are already paid. Email support@rubrawell.com with your order number and a photo or copy of the request, and we sort it out with the carrier. If you've already paid a charge like this on an EU delivery, send us the receipt and we refund it.

How to check any shop that ships from China

Use these five checks on any shop, including us. Rubrawell's answer is on each line.

The EU's flat customs duty for low-value parcels (€150 or less) doesn't apply to our panels: every Rubrawell panel is above that value, and its import VAT and any duty are prepaid either way.

We don't hold stock in any EU country. Brands with EU stock usually deliver in a few days; choose one of those if you need a panel fast.

Christmas timing

Recommended order-by for EU delivery before Christmas: 1 December 2026. At the fast end of our range, an order placed that day arrives around 15–18 December; at the slow end (21 business days) it can slip into early January. To be safe even at the slow end, order by 18 November 2026, which lands by 22 December. Public holidays can add days. More in our gift guide.
